Bimmerworld m tech front lip

I ordered this part and it arrived with a tube of liquid with the hardware. What is this used for? Has anyone installed this lip before?

Thanks.

that tube is glue. You add it on somewhere near the tape i believe for more support to stick.

I just lined up the lip on the bumper and unscrewed the hardware in the bumper where the holes lined up with the lip. Then I put the adhesive on and then put screws into every hole in the lip that I could

Nice

Looks nice I may have to get that for my m235i
Is it gloss or flat finish ?
Are you still happy with it after some miles on it ?
Where did you get it ?
I am not familiar with sellers ?
I am new to this BMW thing.

It is a matte finish. Still looks good after 5k miles. I got it from bimmerworld. It's the "m tech front lip" on multiple sites and is essentially a reproduction of the oem m performance front lip.

What is the second part for (circle and X)? Just got my Bimmerworld splitter/lip with no instructions. Call them and they said they are not familiar enough with the part...

I read on a thread that part goes into the bigger piece? If I'm not mistaken it should be a direct fit only one way

I've had my eye on this for a while, finally ordered it today. Looking forward to installing it.

Edit: I got an email advising the lead time for fulfilling the order is 30-60 days... :-(

Mine arrived today, faster than I thought it would. I'll probably install it next weekend.
For those that have already installed it, did you glue the 2 parts together before installing the lip assembly on the car? Or, did you just put them together with the attached double-stick tape and then screw it onto the car?
Trying not to overthink this, but want it to be securely mounted and stable. Last thing I want is for it to come loose at highway speed...

Arc1703 , sandrik93 , DJR1971 , thoughts? Thanks!

I taped together the two bumper pieces and then taped that assembly to the bumper. Then I screwed the assembly in through the bottom.

I glued the 2 pieces together since tape didn't seem to hold em well together. But that's the only time I used the glue. For mounting I used screws and tape

That smaller circled piece goes inside the larger lip piece correct? Or does it attach separately?

Yes, the smaller piece goes inside the larger piece. It only fits one way. I glued them together using the supplied glue and clamps because the attached tape didn't hold well. This should have come assembled from the factory. But, I guess for ~$300 less then the BMW part, they have to cut costs somewhere... some assembly required.

Ah I see, okay thanks! Wonder why it's 2 pieces when it could just be made as one piece if it fits directly inside it lol do you have a picture of it installed on straight on at a low angle? I saw one before where it looks like theres alot of empty space in the middle area where the 2 bolt points and the front bumper are
