Casual snow drifting
With a steep driveway and RWD I am always the first one on the block to break out the snow shovel. Then I'm usually the only one to get out and enjoy a little casual drifting.

I always like when there is a bit of snow when I leave the garage. I turn off traction control, and let it slide sideways out of the cul-de-sac, and on up the long curve to the main road. Flat curbs and no cars, so no risk. Just a fun little bit of hooliganism.
Then at the stop sign traction control goes back on, for the slow-snowed slog to work. Back to responsible driving with other cars on the road. |

I look at that as taking advantage of the opportunity to practice car-control in safe and controlled conditions. It may be the next best thing to a winter car-control clinic/event.
