WINTER DRIVING!!!. Currently waiting for my winters to come in, and with the heavy snow fall coming in this early, I'm sliding around on my 6MT F23 with the stock RFT all seasons (she's a real daily ).

I'm taking it easy but here and there I'd be a little bit heavy on the gas and her ass will slide (wet snow on the ground), so it came to me, why not use eco mode. So far so good, since eco mode helps alleviate pushing down to much power to fast, and then when you switch off eco mode, it gives you back that lovely power. Oh and I guess I'm saving a tad bit more gas (I do still disable the engine kill on stop bleh)

i use eco pro to extend my low fuel driving after i've procrastinated refueling!

I use eco mode in bumper to bumper traffic. Smoother ride. Less neck and body movement.

I actually use sport mode in the snow. I find the car to be more predictable. In sport when I let off the gas it engine breaks faster and I feel the stiffer suspension helps me feel the road better and how the car is reacting to it. Also in the few times that snow gets heavy or ice it seems to allow a bit more wheel spin rather than bogging down on me.

I use eco for long highway drives for gas milage and when I am low on fuel trying to stretch it till I got to a good station to fill up.

I prefer engine braking with my xDrive so prefer sport mode or use the paddles in comfort. eco coasting is scary.

This is the ONLY time I use Eco Pro. Econo-box mode is actually kind of nice when you're just creeping along. Especially when the wife's in the car with me.

When I remember to do it, you can also go into eco-pro when you are on highway in cruise control - it nets almost 5% fuel savings, and on cc it really doesn't matter what throttle mapping it has. I was able to verify these fuel savings myself during a long highway trip, where they also added up. Ecomode does bring out a few things needing awareness as you disengage the cc: it will stay in that weird 'coasting' mode that makes close highway traffic unsettling (no engine braking?), and it does the auto shutoff if you stop for tolls - the adrenaline of thinking my car had died a the toll plaza in the middle of the night was more wake-up than a pot of coffee.

I tried this and yah it does save you gas, but on the highway I find it a tad bit riskier to use since folks here in the T.dot like to move in and out of the lanes on the highway, and eco mode is not responsive enough.
