I was there. The 11:00 session. Track 4.

I was #1 last spring in NJ but today, got beat and didn't make the podium. But the track was shortened this time and we didn't get even to run the sweeper for time.

Everyone, these events, The BMW Driving Experience are great. The instructors are wonderful and you learn a lot in their cars, with their gas, tires and brakes. And it's FREE with good coffee and trail mix.

The M340 is a quick car. It really sounds great storming around the track standing outside.

I did this event in Minneapolis a few weeks ago. Had a lot of fun. For a free event definitely worth doing.

I finished well off the podium time. Would have been higher, but I let the adrenaline get to me and held off braking too long at the end. Plowed right through 2 cones, and that 4 second hit put me so far behind.....

Also had fun with the open drive sessions. Hated the X2, which some mags are saying is a possible wagon successor to those of us who want a hatch. Loved the base Z4, and really liked the M850i. Probably only time I'll ever drive one, and it was sweet.
