Vertical lines on window

I know this has been discussed on other series forums, but I've never found an actual solution.

I always get these vertical lines when my window goes back up after rolling it down.

Anyone ever found out a solution?

You could remove the inner door panel to assess the condition of the trim at the top edge - perhaps it needs a good cleaning.

Just lower the window and run a plastic knife along the outer weather strip and see if it knocks off the gunk that has accumulated.

It will probably last forever My 2016 M235 does it, my 2018 M2 does it, and even my 2011 Cayman does it. Must be a German thing. I would not bother taking the door a part for something like this. Just clean it when it happens. I don't even bother because the material dry and eventually gets wiped off.
