Lot of potential in this car. I hope BMW does it justice. I also hope the M2 doesnt have a stupid active sound.

The front part look close to the f20 1er, with the same hood and similar headlights (the upper part its the same) with one light bigger than the other. Immagine a f20 light cutted on the bottom...
The kidney grills has the style of the 4er concept and 6er in my opinion, with the external border stretched to the lights. The back has something that recall an f30, but it's hard to have a clear idea of the final car, the lights clearly wont be small as on the 1er. Why they can't just use the front part of my E92?! I love it too much |

Okay BMW you have my attention.
Just imagine how awesome it would be if they brought back the S54 from the CSL for the M2. That would be epic. Nearly zero development costs, guaranteed satisfaction, and this will be such a low-volume car that the slightly higher fuel consumption won't really effect BMW's CAFE numbers. The only problem is the emissions standards. Damn you hippies!!!!! Last edited by bimmerjph; 01-10-2013 at 06:46 PM.. |

When all the announcements came out for all of these new series maybe 2 years ago I was a purist and agreed BMW was making way too many model lines, then I realized when all the comments are made like "this will compete with Mercedes cls" "this will compete with xyz's hot hatch" "this will compete with Lexus's xyz's" blah blah ... Actually it was quite the opposite BMW didn't have enough model lines to compete on the basis they needed to! They aren't making too many lines they are simply catching up, or at lease keeping pace. I will say the cars are too big though.

Yeah, small brakes for sure. But, does the intercooler mean this is the 235?

This 2-Series has got me excited more than I ever was waiting for the F30 3-Series.
