My 1987 735i had this, and every BMW since. If yours doesn't, it's broken.

Wow! It looks like you can get a red or black one for $16. Although the packaging looks very similar the guts could be different. I hope it works out for you, keep us posted.
Edit: It looks like they are both made by Asin although the Asin product numbers are different. If it performs the same as the one I have then this would definitely be the one to get. There are some PDF and software downloads for the one that I got, they might work with yours too.

I was mainly concerned about the auto-off feature. We'll see how it goes.

Not broken. This has been gone over. It's not about something being broken, it's that apparently some 2-series weren't equipped with this feature.

I don't really hate anything.. things I'd like to improve are:

- Rear grip.. LSD/fat tyres
- BT streaming, I don't seem to get track lists on the nav screen?
- Lurch from 1st to 2nd (auto box) when first pulling away when cold
- Granular options for steering/exhaust/gearbox in each mode (I have passive suspension, so have NO options)
- Wheels seem to get damaged easily
- Cup holders are too big for nearly all cups I've bought (I'm in UK.. maybe you get bigger cps in US!?)

Love everything else - amazing car to drive.

Really? The cupholders in my previous E82 and E93 were woefully small and inadequate. Wouldn't even hold a standard soda can safely. Those in my 228i are perfect!

Wow. Must have taken some effort to leave it out, assuming the mirrors are motorized for adjustment.

A bit of effort, just a checkbox or hex value when coding. I'm sure it can be coded to fix it.

mirror dipping must be a model year / country spec thing. no tech, nav, prem or exec on my car and the mirror dips. it's a great feature.

I have tech, nav, prem/exec etc and my mirrors dip (2015 & 2016 model years). My '14 328 has it as well as my '15 x3.

Dipping Passenger Side Mirror on Reverse

I don't know if the EU cars are different, but the US cars do this as all my previous BMW's have. Make sure the small switch on the driver's side armrest is moved to the right (towards the passenger seat) and it should then dip the passenger side mirror as soon as you shift into reverse. Hope that helps!

Have a 2016 M235 convertible and I can only get the passenger side mirror to dip so far. When the mirror adjustment panel is switched to the passenger side, both don't dip. Assuming I am doing something wrong?

Only the curb side mirror (that would be the right one in a LHD car) dips. The guy above who said his mirrors dip is talking about two cars. One mirror on each car, just to be clear.

Does anyone else find the flywheel mass to be too heavy for quick rev matching on downshifts? Can it be lightened? Either that or the throttle response is a bit slow, even in sport mode. Thoughts?

yeah, I find that i'm best able to heel-toe in sport mode since not as much throttle needs to be applied. In comfort i feel like I have to give it way too much throttle.

This. I drive in Sport 90% of the time because of this.

This feature come with the Premium Package. That's my understanding anyway.

Haha, Comfort mode is my Eco-Pro. I put it into sport before I even start the engine.

Any thoughts on an aftermarket lightened flywheel or some other technic for quicker throttle response? Interesting post here:

Things I hate:

- that I bought it
- that it's still in my driveway
- that it's gonna cost me a ton to get out of it and into a proper car
