What model of F22 is it and how much are they asking?

I would get a BMW warranty on the car that covered suspension and ac issues. Checking the wheels are not buckled and tyres got plenty of wear a must. Get it inspected by someone who really knows these cars including Ideally putting it on a lift as will save you $$$ in the end.

I assume that you have driven the car and like how it handles. Is it on run flat tyres or normal tyres. Makes a huge difference!

Good luck with your purchase.

I'm with previous posters - overall these are relatively reliable and affordable - relative to other high-end German cars. If dropping a grand is scary to you, look elsewhere - even upcoming/due routine maintenance items can get you into this range (I think a 4-wheel brake job would do that, or full fluids, alignment and tune). My 228 has been almost trouble-free, but I'm prepared that when things wear out it isn't going to be cheap. Not unusual for the previous owner to have deferred some of this maintenance, knowing they were selling it. If they tell you it is all uptodate, get receipts for any work, only thing worse than them putting it off is getting some idiot to do it in their driveway for $50.
