own AMD, INTC, MSFT, CSCO, NT, S, CDY
Yep, a bruised tech portfolio + 1 Copper/Gold Mining Company. Oh well here's for the long run, plus a healthy mix of Mutual funds (Mostly Real Estate, Japan, Asia and Latin America Markets and some US Utility Companies) |

Funny how nobody here owns GOOG. Oh, wait, it costed about $100/share during the IPO.
Now it's worth hmm, $470. Also interesting to know that Google is worth more than Ford and GM. Combined. |

last year when i was doing my stock project, i invested a great chunk of my money into google when it was trading at about 200$ a share and after a few weeks, i had gained a couple thousand dollars and i actually told my parents "hey mom and dad, ive been tracking google.. i think you guys should actually go and buy some of their stocks."
my parents adn other ppl figured.. 200$+ was way too quick adn way to high of a jump for google and that it would eventually go down because people would sell after a certain point.. they were wrongg because google continues to rise.. although im sure it has to start going down at some point. their prices are so rediculously high. people can only afford to purcahse a handful of shares. |

Stocks require an annual physical to make sure your needs are being met. This way your maximizing prophet shares. Stocks are unpredictable in a sense that its best to take a look at what your shares are doing on a frequent basis, then make changes every year or so.

I own:
Apple (AAPL) Sirius Satellite (SIRI) XM Satellite (XMSR) Gamestop (GME) Allegheny Technology (ATI) Whole Foods Market (WFMI) Pixar (PIXR) Third Ave Value (TAVFX - a Mutual Fund) ...and others... I never buy a stock if I don't plan on holding it for at least a few years though. Looking for the "home run" is like pulling the arm on a slot machine - odds are not in your favor. Go with solid companies! |
