iPhone 6 snap in adapter overheating

Hey all

I have a 2016 m235. Bought the iPhone adapter. Snaps in and everything connects perfectly. Within 5-10 minutes, the iPhone 6 is extremely hot. The fan is working on the adapter too. Is this normal? Anyone else have feedback? I'm about to return it because I'm scared it's going to damage my iPhone.

Thanks

Mine gets warm but not hot...sounds like the fan is not working. It should have at least a one year warranty (or longer if bought when you took delivery).

Hey Steve

I can definitely hear the fan spinning. Sometimes it's warm and sometimes it's hot hot hot

My iPhone 5 and its adapter get very hot, too but after over a year of use there appears to be no damage to the phone?
