M235i n55 Stock exhaust VS MPE (M performance exhaust)
I recently got this done with a used mpe, made a video about it in case anyone else is wondering.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xOkTZSdxRLc I do have a smell (not gas, more like burnt material) coming from the exhaust, is this normal and do i have to live with it or will it go away? it's not too strong but i smell it as soon as i turn the car off. TLDW/R: if you want a better/lounder/deeper sound but not too loud so your neighbors don't come knocking on your door or attract too much attention, this is it. The person who welded it on was surprised, he was like i thought it wsas meant to make the car quieter |

I had the same smell from my Dinan freeflow exaust for the first few days when I would park. I think it's just the components reaching operating temp and out-gassing whatever volatile smells that can be released. Sort of like turning on a new oven for the first time.
