THP Discontinued

When did the track handling package get discontinued? It is not an option when you try to build your car on BMW USA.

Wow...I just tried to configure both a 2WD and xDrive 230....no luck in seeing the Track Handling Package. I'm really glad I found a leftover 2019 xDrive with THP back in August

Definitely not standard. There are many people who actually do not want that package.

This made absolutely no sense to me, so I just called BMWNA and they confirmed that on October 15, the THP was deleted from the coupe, but not the convertible. The "Genius" on the phone couldn't explain the logic either. I'd ask the dealer to use the locator to look around in existing inventory for anyone who wants a coupe. Might be one/few somewhere in the country.

Yes, that is odd. Is it a glitch or is it no longer available on the coupes?

I wonder if this is due to the M240i coupe inherently having the THP and relatively slow sales of that package on 230i coupes? Most of the 2-series I see around here are 228/230 convertibles or M235/240 variety.

Makes no sense to me either. It is still available on the 230 convert, which comes down the same assembly line. So it shouldn't cost any more to BMW to offer it on the coupe.

I guess this is just another example that BMW is going in the wrong direction, at least if you're an enthusiast. It seems like they are slowly giving up on the 2 series (the real 2 series, not the 1 series posing as a 2GC)!

Check the PDF ordering guides people

. The BYO tool is horribly buggy when it comes to stuff like this. Comparing the ordering guides from different years will make it very clear what happened.
