Nothing yet.

Meanwhile in Europe people keep wrongfully installing the 340 MPE.

I'd personally spend the money on a midpipe bypass either Dinan or AWE - takes out larger resonator and silencer of the stock midpipe. Stealthy upgrade that gives the car more "voice"

Would you do Mid pipe or Downpipe?

Powaup,

Depends on what you upgrades you plan to do to your car.

Midpipe

Cheapest/effective for sound is midpipe on stock exhaust - here's an M140i with BCS midpipe on a stock DP and rear muffler.

To my ears this sounds better than B58 MPE and is about half the price !!!

Downpipe

BMS 340i is still running standard DP AFAIK with their development to date so hints at stock downpipe not being a limiter.

If you are remapping/JB4 then upgrading the downpipe futureproofs your hardware to allow more boost. I personally don't like the raspier sound of decat (and its illegal here in the UK at least) so would prefer to opt for sport cat.

MPE

This is really for show and some added tone/volume but now doesn't have any valves so may drone with upgraded midpipe.

So midpipe yes, DP maybe and MPE maybe not.

Off topic but why would you go from a 235 to a 240??

Just a heads up for those of you who are going full convert, Akrapovic seems to be underway to develop an exhaust system for the M240i and M140i

Did DP first...definitely do that before exhaust. Or do both at the same time!

Contacted their Sale Team

They told me the Exhaust should go live and ready for sale around Mid-February

Also, dealership in Italy told me the MPE has become available for 240i on their systems

I found the part number for the MPE for the 340i is 18302406953. The part number for the M235i I found is 18302293766. When I called my dealer with the part number listed above ( 18302424608) He said he showed two in the U.S. and placed the order. I guess we'll see what comes in on Wed. I know what they ordered the first time didn't line up.

That's not the new MPE. Part number 18302424608 is the MPE for the 340...

BMW Germany told me it will release a MPE exclusively for the M240i late December...

I'm curious if that is the part number for the 340 then why doesn't it come up associated with the 340. Totally confusing? The part number listed above doesn't come up on any searches for any vehicles which makes me think it's too new for the catalogs. Any ideas how we can confirm? Also, since the 340 also uses the B58 is the concern 240 physical figment or tuning / performance?
