Severe inside edge tyre wear: camber, toe, or tyre pressure?
Hi all, I've found severe inner edge wear on the inside edges of both front tyres. In the pic, you can see the belt/ply coming through from underneath!
I'm looking for input from anyone who'd like to help me figure out the culprit(s). I'm looking at you: Camber, Toe, and Tyre Pressure. The common wisdom I keep coming across is that it's not actually camber, but rather toe, that is responsible for inner tyre wear. Hoping that's the case, because I can only adjust the toe, and not the camber. -I've included the alignment data that these tyres are on. I don't know if the toe really is the isuue. It looks well within the target range. I've also been running the tyres under-inflated. Which is me being lazy. -I leave them low for the times I go out on a sprited country drive, where they then get to a reasonable pressure. 29psi to 37psi. I really should have put them up to 35psi for day to day driving. -Simt |
