Catted dp into straight pipe?

Hey y'all. So I have an AA catted downpipe and Remus non-res catback. My question is does anyone run a catted downpipe into a straight pipe? Any sound clips (I've been unsuccessful in my searches)?

I don't know if it's the sound deadening of BMWs or I've just gotten a little too used to it but I wish it was slightly louder. Even with the windows down it just seems a little tame. Considering I don't want to go catless again for emissions/smell/environment issues my only other option is an exhaust cutout or muffler delete. Only issue with an exhaust cutout is I'd assume to make it fit I'd need to cut up my pricey Remus exhaust which doesn't sound too appealing.

Hope I didn't ramble too much here. Any sound clips or ideas/opinions would be appreciated.

When I picked up my car a couple years ago I went through youtube and watched every video on the M240i I could find. I recall seeing a video or two of people that did something like you are explaining and it was super loud. Try searching for M240i exhaust sound on youtube.

I'll have to do more digging but I think I've only ever seen "true" straight pipes which are catless. Haven't seen one with a catted downpipe yet. From catless vs catted setups it seems like there is a noticeable sound difference between the two hence my curiosity here.

Sure there would be a difference but both are going to be deafening. If you have a high flow cat and then no resonators after that it's going to be ridiculous. I like my car's setup: loud when mashing on it but quiet when cruising along. To each their own.

Yeah I'll probably just leave it. Maybe one day I'll cut into my midpipe and add an exhaust cutout. Best of both worlds.

I don't have an M240i but a 340i (which should have similar exhaust sound). You should look for videos of 340i/440i MPPSK since the MPPSK exhaust is a muffler bypass with no resonators.

Interesting, I'll have to look up some comparisons. I've seen videos of the MPPSK on its own and it sounds alright but I'm not sure it has the right note to it for my taste. This is from what I remember while doing my research on going M Performance axleback or Remus axleback.
