BM3 vs MHD pros and cons

I know I know, this is probably the oldest questions that has been repeated over and over.

Can we compile all the pros and cons of bm3 vs mhd that you know of as of now? Since this is a VS thread, there is no need to list pros that they share. Let's list advantages that one has that is not offered by the other.

I will start with what I know which is not much..

BM3
Pros:
-Resale value > You can sell the tune when you are done with it although its one time only.

MHD
Pros:
xHP compatibility > MHD can be tune to work hand in hand with xHP

the biggest difference in my opinion is their maps.

Bootmod3 are the tuners and the programmers. it's all made in-house by the same team.

MHD are only programmers, they buy maps from the third-party tuners and offer them as their off-the-shelf maps.

Is one of them known to be more aggressive/powerful with their OTS maps? Or are they both generally pretty conservative with those?

All my maps on MHD ran more aggressive than Bm3,

Ran each for about 6 months each on my 335i,

Enjoyed MHD way more than BM3.

Depending on who you ask, everyone's current tune is always the best

I heard BM3 maps were more aggressive than MHD and mostly saw online (IG, FB, etc.) that the B58 owners that had issues with their cars were running BM3. Correlation doesn't imply causation but it was enough for me to go MHD.

Been on Stage 2 91 oct and occasionally 95 oct but with 100 octane in the tank for about 20k miles now on top of Stage 3 xHP with no issues or error codes. Only have a catless downpipe and various little things like a turbo blanket.

Either, really...
Let's say for the conversation both have equal amounts of users, both will for the most part defend their tune and both are giving great results. I run MHD, second time using, first on N55 and now B58. Very impressed, very easy to use but i'm sure i'd say the same about BM3 if i choose that. The basic reason i choose MHD more then anything is my perceived ease of use due to not needing a laptop and the agent used in BM3. If i'm not mistaken, BM3 now is like MHD where all you need is a phone and the app.

Ya I'm pretty sure I read the same about laptops no longer being required.

Just to add further info for those who might have some questions for which answers don't seem easy to find.

1. My friend runs a private bmw workshop where they do repairs etc

2. Every second car has some of kind of ots tune whether it be mhd or bm3

3. There seems to be some kind of acceptance attitude that once tuned the oem drivability feeling is compromised in whatever circumstances etc etc. A kind of thing that just goes with the territory. This should not be the case.

4. Whenever his customers complain about whatever with there tunes, they are always bm3 ots tunes and he converts them over to mhd tunes and he states the difference is night and day. He says he has done 100s of conversions and never had 1 single scenario where the end user wasn't blown away by the overall quality difference in the tune itself.

5. I have no idea or interest in whoever writes the tune files for either platform however when somebody is saying 100s then it's pretty obvious. He says it's irrelevant of n55 s55 b58 whatever, it's always the same result.
