I think the relative lack of BBK offerings for these cars reflects how good the stock system is.

I'm pretty sure that anything that fits on an E9x will fit on our cars, too. The reason I think so is that I've seen a couple of posts where people are retro-fitting the F30 front M Perf bits (370mm rotors and calipers) to their E90s.
Two materials does not mean 2-piece rotors.

We do not have 2-piece rotors.

Should be some on the market by year end.

The oem rotors are 2 piece, just not replaceable. Hence the rivets.

I was always under the impression they used cast-iron for the actual rotor? Much better thermal handling than steel? Pretty sure i read even BMW say the M brakes are a cast iron rotor with aluminium hat - just riveted as previously stated.

Brakes are good to start with and as mentioned already, ss lines and pads on standard will be an improvement.

The big dinner plates behind my 18" wheels do look very very nice though !

Do you know what they coded? I am installing the 380mm rotors from the m3 using the stock calipers + offset brackets.

Ive upgrades to Paragon 2-piece rotors front and rear, stock diameter and width, direct replacement. Cast iron rotors with forged titanium centers. Saves around 3lbs per corner, should have higher thermal capacity, and discs should be about the same cost as an OE rotor job after the initial investment.
