I'm new here and currently own a b58 m240i, indeed I'm also looking for a bm3 capable of using the b58，The confusion before looking for and buying is as follows。

About questions:

1. Can other models of bootmod3 be used for b58? I can buy b58 maps separately (I'm really new and this problem bothers me)

2. I tried to contact the bootmod3 customer service, but the answer they gave me was not clear, but very pertinent.

bootmod3 License transfer

You would need the transfer license to be able to go into bootmode, no matter what platform its coming from.


This will simply allow you to access datalogging and the free OTS maps (i.e. mppsk) you would then need to buy the map pack license to be able to purchase the “stage” maps.

You should also be able to request a custom map from a tuner.
