Hey All,

Interesting numbers to look at here, with some hypothetical opinions sprinkled in.

Hopped into configuration for the BM3 S2+ tune and adjusted a few goodies:

-Reduced burble length to refine the decel. And not sound ricey. (What a change, sounds more exotic)
-Added in the GTS roar (people have to know its starting…)

Then the topic of discussion… MAX COOLING ENABLED.

As a background the Max cooling mode keeps fans on as well as other adaptations I am unaware of at this point.

That said, under normal driving conditions Engine Oil temp would sit pretty stead at 223*F and engine temp very similar.

With max cooling mode engaged both temps sat around 172*F. Thats around a 20% decrease in both engine an oil temps. Which for summer driving, keeps things inside the engine happy!

Or not?

After debating this, and theorizing; it can also cause prolonged and unnecessary strain on the cooling systems.

Post your thoughts, or any data points for discussion!
