I don't understand the hating on this car. It's gorgeous (once the hideous diffuser is replaced with the M-Performance version). It's numbers are impressive and offers more options and features compared to the E82.

Give it a go peeps and keep an open mind about it.

Not to be that complaining guy, but it looks overwrought and tacky. And those wheels. Come on. If you're going to charge 3x what the market rate is for styling enhancements, at least be the best at it.

The Racing version on the other hand, is pure sex on wheels. Just make the M2 look like that.

I've read both threads on the M235i Race Version but can't see where they list the transmission - is it an 8-speed Auto?? I don't see any mention of a DCT and it's not a manual.

According to BMW Motorsport about a few weeks ago there is no plan to bring m235i Racing to the USA at the current time.

If more options and features are how you define improvement then by all means go for it. Last time I checked a BMW was a drivers car and things like weight and driver's feel mattered. I do not see an improvement over the 1 series here.

It is neither. This is a RACE CAR that is not street legal, meant to bring the Clubsport experience to BMW enthusiast, just like Porsche does.
