Problem with my M235i F22 NBT I-drive
Hi Folks,
First time poster here but long time enthusiast. I am facing an i-drive issue with my BMW. I have the NBT system and this is what occured: 1. 3 days ago, I noticed my Bluetooth refused to play music (though I could still make/take calls). I also noticed that the USB connection charged my phone but didn't recognise it. 2. I updated the software via usb (it allowed this) but this did not help so I reverted back to the old software. 3. Since then, my i-drive went into a reboot loop. It was rebooting ever 2 minutes. Since then, its now rebooting every 5 minutes. I have a few options: 1. Get it diagnosed by a local shop at cost of $180 for diagnostics alone and then see the fix. 2. Get a replacement communication unit (the silver NBT box) from a wrecker for $250 and have it coded in for $200. This seems like a fair option..except what if the problem isn't with the box? 3.Someone from europe says they can diagnose it remotely since I run a car page (@m235fan on instagram) and they're a fan of my work. But I imagine that has privacy risks for computer log in etc. I dunno. Any advice? I am not competent in tech or electrical issues. Thanks! |
