Central Ohio Fuel Quality- 93?

Hi All,
Wanted to start a thread where we could all list good gas stations/chains for fuel quality- specifically for those of us whom have a special interest in 93 octane for tuning purposes. Might be a good place to talk ethanol also since I know there's a group of tuners looking at E30-E50 mixes too.

If this thread concept already exists for the central Ohio area, I apologize as I couldn't find it.

Unfortunately I do not have any hard evidence yet, but I'm posting to announce I'm looking for it. I know others out there on the interwebz have info, maybe that finds its way to this thread- and hopefully this becomes a good reference thread for local enthusiasts to find good fuel.

I just got the MHD flash tune done the other week, so over the next few months my mission is to learn the log reading (haven't learned MHD B58 yet, previously had JB4 N54), and look for those cues in the ignition timing, knock, and other indicators that would show whether or not the vehicle has an issue with the local 93 quality.
FWIW I've been running 93 in the vehicle since I got it in 2021, not just now that its tuned...

Maybe I'm just paranoid of bad gas, with that old N54 sometimes I would have an issue and then start checking all the things like vacuum lines, vanos solenoids, plugs, the wastegate actuator, boost solenoids, even walnut blasted that thing twice in my garage... all the while also wondering if it could possibly be fuel inconsistencies. Those were the adventure days, that was my second tuned car, and I wasn't as knowledgeable then as I am now.
I understand the B58 is not as prone to the little nagging issues like those original N54's were... So I'm trying to be a little more proactive in this regard, and really know what's going on with all the variables that affect the tune, especially the fueling as that seems to be a big one.

Talking with a few guys in my circle of friends... Tuned Audi S3 Gen 3, JB4 e93 335i/N54, Supercharged S52/e36 M3. all have said logs are usually clean, no knock ect...
sounds like Franklin, Licking, and Fairfield Counties all have good 93 at BP's, Kroger/Turkey hill, Sunoco is believed to be good too.
beware Flying J- they only go up to 92.
theres a place near the Baltimore Lancaster area that sells 100 octane fuel in 5 gallon barrels- will update later on this location- my dude couldn't remember the chain when we were discussing... i told him to look at E content of that as well.
I also know there are still a couple Sunoco stations you can get 105 octane race fuel from the pump, back in my shifter kart days I used to get that and mix with 2 cycle- again unsure what ethanol concentration is in that.

Just wanted to confirm your assessment of the Kroger 93oct, and add that there is an E85 pump at the Reynoldsburg Kroger gas station on Broad St. and Reynoldsburg-New Albany Rd, if your were unaware.

Went to krogers off rt 23 in Delaware OH. Last night to top off a half tank of 93.
This morning all of a sudden I have misfires under load on 93 tune, 91 tune works fine.
That gas is suspect unless I find another reason for misfire.

Hit up the same sheets today, but finally took the time to test both the 93 and e85

The e85 is near perfect again, but the 93 was surprising.
Might be the source of some timing correction.
I assumed it was e10, but its only e5.
I also added 4 oz of boostane pro to this (full) tank interval so well see how that runs.
I'll post a log in another thread later this week.

Got e7 out of the 93 at the newly rebuilt Marathon station in Johnstown.
So far on 93 it's the highest e content I've measured. Car runs better but still get some timing corrections

My friend MikeS300 has had good luck with shell 93 gas in his 17 540 BM3 stage 2, minimal to 0 timing correction...

It's a little out of the way for us living in Johnstown but I went and got some last night.
It measures e7 also. Wondering if that's a trend with top tier gas.
I've still got a little liquimoly fuel system cleaner in the tank (did that alongside oil change last weekend) so idk if it will log well.
Got a lot of soccer logistics this weekend so I'll probably go through a whole tank this weekend refill and get a log next week, maybe tomorrow 🙃

Haven't posted recently
My Sheetz e85 is running e75 this week.

Got a fresh log today
This mix is Shell 93 gas and sheetz e85 with 3 oz of boostane in there
Running between e46&e47 on the analyzer
I might bump it up to e49 and see how that fares
Trying to stay just below e50 on the TU hpfp
e40 MHD datazap log
