F45 Dropping glove box

Can someone direct me to instructions/video for how to pull up the dash trim and also drop the glovebox?

I want to install a CarPlay retrofit, and I need access to the head unit. Also the module won't fit underneath the head unit (like installation videos for other bimmers) so I'll need to put it behind the glovebox.

F45, 225xe.

Thanks in advance!

Although this forum isn’t for the F45, here is all the info you ever needed to know about the glove box on one: https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/f...ch?q=Glove+box

....and specifically about accessing the telematics unit behind the glove box: https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/f...one/1VnZ3uMEoZ

Unfortunately that avenue has been blocked by BMW. As at today they want $32 for 24 hours access, over $200 for a month or >$2k for a year. Makes a mockery of the right to repair. Clearly I'm looking for the same information how to remove the glove box, actually I'm trying to get to the blower fan which seems to be behind and to the side of it. Anyone know how to do that?

Did you ever figure it out or find out? I am trying to do the same. I have removed four screws. Two from top front, one back right underneath and another front facing but quite hidden at the bottom right. Still it doesn't move, don't want to force it.

Aerobod says this forum isn't for the F45 (nor presumably the F46). Is there a forum here for those models - they are 2 Series too afaik. I have looked. Is there anywhere else you can suggest?

Hi,
I’m trying to change my head unit, I’ve taken out the 4 screws and dislodged the AC trim but the head unit only slides out a few inches. I can’t access the back of it to remove the cables.
