Anyone have recommendations for a shop to install aftermarket parts in the SE MI area?

ArborMotion in Ann Arbor just installed my FabSpeed downpipe. Their shop rate is pretty high and they (apparently) charge book time which they didn't really clarify when I made the appt. In the end, the install cost was double the initial estimate due to this (4 hours actual vs 2 hours estimate).

Another shop that would have done the install is Motorwerks in Commerce Township. Their shop rate is much more reasonable and they estimate book time up front.

If FabSpeed hadn't recommended ArborMotion, I would've gone with Motorwerks.

Another option if you have the time/know how is to go to a DIY garage where you can rent tools and a lift. Another local guy used My Mechanics Place in Livonia. He had pretty good feedback on that place (linked below).

I checked Nikolas Motorsport for my downpipe install but they wouldn't do installs for customer brought in parts.

Try Vast Performance in Ferndale. Not sure of their policy, but have had great service there. They did the timing chain on my VW GTI and great place to get a custom alignment.
