Hello, I recently purchased my 2018 bmw m240i about a month ago from a private seller on Facebook marketplace. Ever since purchase I get this annoying issue but not critical to where my iDrive system randomly shuts off and disconnects my Bluetooth and all that but the rest of the electronics stay on and unchanged just the center display reboots almost. It’s merely just annoying cause it happens at least once everytime I start up my car within 5-10 minutes and unsure what the reason for it is has been starting to bug me. As this is also my first BMW I’ve tried my best to search up this issue online but it being fairly specific haven’t found much, thank you.

Try resetting the iDrive by pressing and holding in the volume button/know for at least 30 seconds.

Just tried doing that and it didn’t change anything problem still happens. But manually resetting it and the random reset issue I’ve been having make the exact same noise and all that so now I know it’s just randomly resetting. Still annoying.

this also happens when the harddrive is giving up.
