Looks like it's been a minute since any new CBUS 2er's have jumped in, but I just got my 2er after my 14 428 was engaged in some non-consensual automotive graping.
So happy I downsized to the 2er and up-sized to the B58. So greets to all, and hope to cross paths when out and about. |

I probably should have posted in here some time ago
I'm from the Columbus OH area Currently living in Johnstown Wife and teenagers in the house so not much time for hoonanigans these days with their sports and the family activities. But I do try to get out to a few cars and coffees, at least do one test and tune at the Trails, and hocking hills cruises.

Howdy all! Not much activity in this thread recently but figured I'd say hi.
Picked up a 17 M240i 6 speed in Feb to replace my E46 M3 vert! I know I'll regret it but operating costs were getting too high. From the Youngstown area. Doesn't seem to be too many 2er's this side of Ohio. I like to AutoX and starting to get into more track days mostly Nelson Ledges and Pitt Race. |

So what do you think of your M240i compared to the E46 M3 you had (esp. at the track, if you took both of them to one)?

Both have been a lot of fun! My biggest complaint with the M240i is how soft it feels especially in the rear on the track. The E46 is extremely planted, but I have it riding on Ground Control coilovers. I can't speak for stock comparisons due to that. I do have a set of Ground Control coilovers that just arrived for the M240i though and plan on putting in some bushing inserts to accompany the suspension upgrade. Brakes are much better, and power is plentiful in the M240i. There is a lot of beauty in the sound and characteristics of the NA ITB S54 though. Overall, they are both great and can't complain too much. M240i has been much more reliable due to significant age difference which has been nice lol |
