I have a 2017 M240 built 10/16 with no nav or entry in the vin identifier.

As far as I know, you do have entrynav, it's just the name of the base NBT model and has nothing to do with navigation. I have F22 220i built 01/2016 with no NAV, 6.5" screen and the simple 3 top buttons iDrive controller. The NBT system is made by magneti marelli and it's enterynav.It's not written anywhere, not even on the unit itself.

Hard to believe that your car can't be fitted. I did the swap today with 8.8" from f30 and it just work (with coding).

TO be 100% sure, take the dash trim off and take a picture of you system (top part with the stiker) and post it here.

I successfully swapped the screen but can't get the videos to play... I coded every possible entry (done it before in other cars)

My vehicles production date is 09/2015 and it is a Pre-Lci F22 M235i. I would be more than happy if any of you guys did a similar swap! I am ready to buy the screen just waiting for your approval

I have a 2014 M235i with the 6.5 inch screen with entrynav wanted to upgrade to the 8.8inch. i called the local junkyard they have the screen and the headunit with part number that matches with the VIN the screen came off of. was wondering if it is just plug and play? and if anyone could code it for me in the bay area? I have a 2016 M235i manufactured 2015-07-13. My factory 8.8" screen is delaminating badly and I'd like to replace it, but finding an OEM has proven difficult (for a reasonable price). Can anyone tell me if I can just swap a part # 65509292248 without doing any coding, since I already had the 8.8" screen from the factory?

Update on this:
I purchased the screen, installed it, turned on the car, and it was just a blank display. I suspect that I need to adjust the following value:

HU_NBT -> 3001 EXBOX -> DISPLAY_VARIANTE: bretes_display

I suspect mine, by default, is set to:

HU_NBT -> 3001 EXBOX -> DISPLAY_VARIANTE: schmales_display

I will report back with my findings, hopefully tomorrow when the OBDlink CX arrives.

So I could not get this working unfortunately. When I connected BimmerCode I got “HU_NBT_EVO” instead of HU_NBT. It was already coded as bretes_display.

Anyone have any suggestions??

Apparently I have the "Navigation system Professional" option S609A
Pretty sure this screen I purchased is indeed not compatible. Now on the search for a new 9385202 screen for less than the insane prices I'm finding..

Another development! I found a 9385202 from a 1 series in Lithuania for $400... everything matches 1:1 except for the serial, manufactured date, and lot # (and the last digit of the part # but that's just the index #) hoping this works!!
(wow they were still making these in 2020!)

I received the screen from the seller in Lithuania and installed it... and....


It works perfectly!

Did anyone try aftermark linux screen (have boot time 5-8 seconds) and have original oem menu from same display.

Im thinking to try with my enteynav headunit on f31 2017 (currently have 6.5" display) did somebody was already try and works fine?

Also check videos on yt like: f30 linux , will be plenty of them

The coding is way easier then it seems you just have to get into the module that controls the screen itself and just change the last part of the entry to read

HU_NBT > 3000 HMI > DISPLAY_SIZE_RESOLUTION = 8.8_1280x480
HU_NBT > 3001 EXBOX > DISPLAY_VARIANTE = breites_display

the bold parts are what actually gets changed

Hello Anderw, sory for reviving an old thread. I found a 8.8 inch screen « 65509259901 » that fits the f20, exchangeable retrospectively with « 65509292245 » that fits the F22 (my car)
Also this screen was working with a cic headunit and i have nbt. Is the connection the same ?
Will it work ? Any help please
