Minnesota?
Anyone else here from Minnesota? I am picking up my M235i this weekend. I live in Minnetonka.
I have not seen any others on the road yet. I did see one at the Oktoberfest event at the automotorplex. Pat |

I have an EBII with Red Leather, MT, sunroof delete, H-K, in St Paul! I have seen a red m235i parked at the COOP with a baby seat in the back!

I did see another black M235i at Byerlys Minnetonka last week. That is the only other M235i I have seen on the road. Pat |

There are at least two of us south of you in Rochester, MN. I think I picked mine up about two weeks before you . How are you liking it?

I'm in Eagan. 2014 RWD EB M235i. Only seen two other 2's in the wild here. A very nice MG with tweaks, and another EB from a distance in Richfield. Haven't seen either since.
We're around, but I guess we're rare. Just put the summers back on. So nice to be off the squirmy winter tires. Also forgot just how rich the blue was before I washed it. I love spring. |

Fellow Minnesota (Minneapolis) 235 enthusiast here. I picked up a white 235 manual from Denver a few weekends ago. Traded an S4 for it, best decision I've made in years. Bronze powder-coated 19s with pilot super sports are in the mail. Super glad to back in the BMW fold!

Nice to see a little life in this thread! I am currently driving an EB M240i xdrive I picked up last fall. Only mod so far is an M2 muffler with quad tips.

I spent a year in Minneapolis (and Richfield), and it seemed like 10 - can't imagine how frustrating it is to deal w/ that passive aggressive traffic in a 2 series, you all must have the patience of saints (or front-mounted artillery?).

Picked up my M240i maybe 4 months ago. Anyone still around? I see another 2 series by work in Maple Grove every so often. Also coming from California, does anyone know of any autocross, racetracks, or good roads for driving? Really missing the canyons right now. |

the scene
The main autocross activity is with Minnesota Autosports Club found at mnautox.com, they have two novice schools in the spring you'll want to sign up early and go even if you are experienced. The run at two sites mainly. the big parking lot at Canterbury Downs and the driving course at Dakota County Technical College. The DCTC autocross is usually pretty fast and fun. They have members only driving days that get you plenty of seat time. The local Audi club has a really fun winter driving event on a frozen lake. The Audi club and BMW cub both have higher speed coached driving events at Brainerd which are reputed to be fun. The last ones were Covid canceled. Blizzaks seem to be the winter tire of choice around here. There is a Tire Rack warehouse in Roseville. For autocross all the m235s I've seen (only 3) all run a 17 inch square setup with RE71s. You'll trash your Pilots with just one session at DCTC so your looking at three set of wheels/tires, street, snows, race. Welcome to MN.

Thanks for all the great info! Hope to see you out there sometime!
I knew I should've gone with 17's! I just ordered some new 18's with 235/40/18 DWS06 were recommended to me for performance but still snow. |
