Can the front parking sensors/cameras be repositioned? M235i

Hi all,

Often times when pulling into a space the curb is lower than the sensors can see, but still higher than the front of the vehicle (when I turn on the Parking camera). Is it possible to reposition the sensor a little bit lower to see lower curbs?
Also, it would be nice if the parking camera could come on automatically - is that an option I'm missing?

Probably just me needing to get used to the length/front of the car...

Thanks!
Rick

I'd suggest get used to the length of the car or back in if you can.

I had the same thought about the sensor when I first purchased my 2 series. I never hit a parking block or curb but sometimes was a foot or more away. Most new parking lots are putting shorter blocks in but I still like to back in when possible or now that I am used to the length of the car come fairly close.

I've been parking a foot away too! I'll just have to get used to it.

Typically if you have the seat adjusted in a position for performance driving (i.e. not too far away from the steering wheel) when you look at the kerb or parking blocks in front through the side window, when the kerb is just visible below the driver's side mirror, the bumper should be about 20cm from the kerb. This will vary with height and seat adjustment, so try for yourself to find the right position.
