Fuel pump recall - 2014 M235i
I have not been contacted by BMW yet for this recall. I've even had my 2014 M235i in for service several times since this announcement. Has anyone had their car recalled for the fuel pump yet?

My fuel pump gave up after 4k miles. I had it replaced by the dealer. They did not mention any recall, neither the repair order mentions any recall. But they were not surprised that something was wrong with the pump so early.
For what is worth, the car drives much better with the new fuel pump. Acceleration from a stop is smoother and the anti-spin is smarter and does not cut-off power completely. They also performed a software update when they changed the pump, so I am not sure if it was the pump or the sw that improved things. |

Just typed in my VIN for my Mid 15 build and it gave me no recalls available for my model. I am taking her in for the 5k service soon, so I will see what the SA or dealer has to say and what all is done in my case.

So something like 2 years after they recalled these pumps in the US. Mine in Canada has been recalled. Booked it in for an oil change next week and got a call asking if they could add it to my appointment.
Maybe the idiots at the dealer will stop blaming my choice of gas station for rough starts now... So if you have a Canadian 2014 might be worth checking if you are affected. I remember these being a better thread than this one on here in 2015 but can't find it for the life of me. Might have been a more general BMW recall thread than a 2 series thread. |

I just checked mine and it's a March 14 build. Nothing popped up. Hmmmm.
