Neither one will beat a tuned M240I x drive either 1/4 mile or roll race

It would be interesting to see this against the non-EU cars, as the Z4 for countries following EU emissions (which would include the car in this test) use the 250kW (335bhp) B58B30M1 engine, whereas Z4s in the rest of the world use the 285kW (382bhp) B58b30O1 engine. The Supra seems to be rated at 250kW (335bhp) worldwide, which may indicate it only uses the B58B30M1, if it doesn't have it's own special variant.

Bearing in mind the Z4 has the ///M LSD and rear tyre widths similar to the M3/M4, it should be able to get the power down on a drag strip and be capable of times in the 10s when tuned due to it's lower weight (100kg / 220lbs) and higher output starting point of 382bhp compared with the 2-series. Here is a tuned M4 doing 10.35 https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1328649.

A shame the BMW doesn't offer a coupe option. Not a ragtop fan so Toyota would be my choice. I'd take the Bimmer in a coupe even with the lesser perf. BMW just looks better to my eye than the Toyota.
