An absolute must and will definitely be getting wheels. But the tough part is finding them. I've got time to shop so I'll post if and when I do.
Gonna be looking for 18's for track and street and I'm hoping to go a bit wider front and rear by way of the wheels, tires and offsets. My criteria for wheel weight will be 18-20 lbs. The OEM wheels with their "different" offsets presents a challenge but there's some good wheel shops out there who'll start doing some test fittings and posting the results. Curious to see if this would work or whether it would be advantageous if it did: Front: 18x8 or 18x8.5 with 245/35/18's Rear: 18x8.5 or 18x9 with 255/35/18's Offsets for this type of setup would be much different than OEM. We shall see what's out there (other than high end wheels which are all custom anyways and don't pose any problems if you're willing to pony up the bucks).

Sent an email off to Apex Racing yesterday and they got back to me already. They're in the process of acquiring a 2er and will start the test fittings when they do. These are EXCELLENT wheels and are snapped up on the M3/3er forums. If you don't know their designs or reputation, go take a look at their Wheels/Tires section and keyword "apex" so you get an idea. Apex are also Bimmerpost vendors so group buys could also be a possibility....if they come up with something that fits. Fingers crossed!!

subscribed. Interested in new wheels for my m235i when it gets in. Not a fan of the stock rims!

I agree when you say they look much better in the flesh, I was very adamant that I was going to change my wheels very soon after getting the car but now I'm happy to wait a bit and see if anyone else makes the leap first. I still think they could have looked a lot better and in a nicer colour, but they aren't as bad as I originally thought.

I actually like the stock wheels. I have also got some complements on the wheels from other BMW owners.

The stock wheels are like the back end on this car. The pics don't do them justice. Will be keeping them and getting a different Winter set too, as just posted in the other thread
