JB4 Map & Spark Plug Gap?
Hey all just got around to ordering a catless downpipe, FMIC, TIC pipe, charge pipe, and a JB4. I already got a Injen CAI installed, so I'll pretty much be FBO minus exhaust. Now I took a look at the maps the JB4 had for the N20, they are here as follow:
Map 0: JB4 disabled. Map 1: PWG models absolute target 21psi peak, EWG models additive 4psi peak over stock. Map 2: PWG models absolute target 22psi peak, EWG models additive 6psi peak over stock. Map 3: Progressive Methanol Injection. Requires BMS methanol kit or BMS FSB for meth pump control. Map 4: Stock performance, JB4 on Map 5: Absolute targeting map with a peak boost 17psi. Suitable for 320 & 520 applications. Map 6: User definable absolute target map. Suggested for troubleshooting by professionals only. Map 7: Race gas absolute target map. Peak boost 23psi. This is a fairly aggressive map and increases engine damage risk. Use with caution. Now what would be the best map to run safely and as well giving me the best/most performance? I have a 2015 228ix N20 (EWG), and where I'm at we only seem to have 91 octane. I'm guessing map 2 would be the best fit for my vehicle? But I remember reading somewhere only run map 2 on 93 octane. Can someone with a similar set up advise? I also had picked up new spark plugs, what should I have them gapped to for the best performance & mpg? Any advice is appreciated! |
