How to hook up Match Up 7bmw amp to seperate subwoofer

I tried hooking up a separate sub and amp to the match up 7bmw but couldn't get it to play through the tuning software? Anyone done this?

The software is confusing - on the PP86DSP at least you have to click boxes on the right to turn the outputs on then save down.

Assign inputs to channel H then you will have output.
