Budget Sound System Upgrade

Hi everyone,

After doing some research (mostly thanks to this awesome thread: https://www.2addicts.com/forums/show....php?t=1236238 ), I decided to do a video series on how to upgrade the audio system with a limited budget. Here is the first video in that series and thanks to everyone who contributed to the mentioned thread. I've also included affiliate links for the products I used. More to come soon.

Fritz, I disconnected the center channel speaker in my 230I convertible. It made a vast improvement to the sound. Also I think it actually increased the volume. With 5 speakers 20% of the power goes to each speaker. With just 4 speakers I think 25% of the output goes to each speaker.

Not sure about that. Because amplifier has seperate outputs for each speaker. Unless speakers were connected parallel, the wattage they recieve will not be affected when you unplug any other speaker

I have done a lot to my non HK sound system and each change felt significant.

Besides the center channel delete, the best bang for the buck is door speakers with separate tweeters. I started with a pair I got here used for $100. now I have bavsound with the tweeters in the correct spot using the Alpine tweeter brackets.
