Stoked to get it installed. Diffuser and lip are in for paint right now for the next week or two. I'll update with photos after the install!

To revive this thread... I can confirm the 230i LCI exhaust is the same size as the 240i. I had to leave the shop before I could confirm the fitment of the hangers, but they promised to take pics for me. I will update the post tomorrow once I pick up the car! Had to leave for work before it was done.

As promised though a little later.. the install went beautifully! I used the Dinan M240i free flow exhaust with the Mperformance spoiler painted to match on the outer edge and piano black on the bottom.

The fitment of the exhaust was pretty much exact. The hangers lined up without issue and the included coupling fit without need of welding or an adapter sleeve. The 230i LCI piping diameter is the same as the 240i unlike in the 228i to 235i conversion.

The diffuser is still a direct bolt on fitment and paired wonderfully with the exhaust. I like the slightly sunken look. I also went ahead and did the front lip painted to match as well.

The sound is crisp and deep at idle. Its noticeably louder under load, but nearly the same loudness as stock when cruising at lower RPM. No drone! You can finally clearly hear the exhaust note in the cabin and I could code the ASD out. It sounds amazing without being overly loud. I highly recommend the mod, especially if you drive a 6spd and need to hear the motor.

The tips don't seem aligned in the cut outs of the diffuser. Is it just a bad angle on the picture?

It's a little bit of both a bad angle and it is curved inward a little on the right side. The angle I took the photo at apparently makes it look much worse than it is. But it is slightly noticeable if you get at ground level with the tips. The shop said I could take it to an exhaust shop and see if they would be able to heat and bend the piping since it's all one solid piece. Right now I'm considering just leaving it until I have the car back in with Dinan when they are ready for the next project and see what they can do.

The tips are equally space and centered in the cut outs of the diffuser, but the right one just seems to be bent inward slightly for what ever reason.
