What is the second light housing in my m235i?

I noticed there is a second projector lens next to my low beams. I thought they were high beams but they are t. What is that and how do you turn them on??

I remember this coming up at one time a few year back....if I remember correctly it's nothing.

It is a heatsink that is not used.
