Sell JB4 and Flash tune , or keep JB4 ?

As the title say,s , i,m running JB4 with my M240i Xdrive Map 2 with a wagner catted Downpipe, the car is running very good, no problems at all, so the question is should i remove my JB4 and flash tune, or should i keep my JB4 and wait for example Bootmod3 ?

hope not too many questions .....

greetings, Kriszty

I have read of JB4 on top of BM3 for "safety" but never really understood what they meant by that really.

Mostly people who keep the JB4 are for meth control. Others just remove it when they switch to BM3. I still have the JB4 with my BM3 flash but that's because I'm too lazy to remove and sell the JB4.

I felt the BM3 gave my m235i more low to midrange torque. Some people say it's a night and day difference but I wouldn't go that far. I would have rather went BM3 than JB4 but BM3 wasn't available as a DIY tune when I bought the JB4.

I don't regret my BM3 purchase and I think it's pretty good if you have a spare $600 around.

I would keep the Jb4 until the more well known flash tune companies release their software

I plan on keeping the JB4 until the flash tubes are out in full force. Then keep the JB4 long enough to get some solid logs of how the flash is performing. If all is well then sell the JB4. I thought about keeping the JB4 and going with meth but for me personally, putting 450+ whp with small tires isn't worth it.

I plan on keeping my jb4 strictly for the gauges and code read outs/deletes. You already invested in this device that can provide these critical features (IMO for anyone who isn’t bone stock), so why not hang on to it? Put it in map 7 (or whatever the logging map is without adjusting parameters) and use it for monitoring. You could always sell it for say $300, take that $300 and buy the air vent device for your gauges while simultaneously losing an air vent. But I don’t see any benefit in that. Plus that air vent device doesn’t read/clear codes like the jb4 can.
