Awe exhaust & midpipe m235i to m240i compatability

I recently purchased a 2018 m240i and was wondering if the awe exhaust and midpipe I purchased for my m235i (previous car) would be a direct fit?

Also the m240i has the m performance diffuser, are the 102mm tips compatibile with the diffuser / does any modification have to be done to make the exhaust work with the diffuser?

I contacted awe and they said: “the exhaust will be a direct swap for the new car. It fits both perfectly.

The tips can be used with no modifications at all. Both 90mm and 102mm fit within the factory openings without the need for trimming”

Is the above statement true? There are two different part numbers for the midpipe, and from searching I’ve found people had to modify the exhaust with additional piping to make the tips work.

The installation document from their site is for 235 only although titled 235/240. i googled and found another 240 installation guide

https://www.awe-tuning.com/media/pdf...ipe-rev1.0.pdf

But guess what the pic illustrated in the document is still for 235. I was like wtf

Well it just a few pipes so u will figure it out

Thanks for the feedback and Taking the time to find the instruction manual!

I had a feeling the midpipe wouldn’t be plug & play. Muffler/axel back should be the same though correct? I don’t see a different part # on the AWE website.
