TLDR (all the text for each part number, that is), but this jumped right out at me:

48-217170 "Special Application Notes: Not for vehicles with EDC"

I'd call Bimmerworld for specifics. Other things that could be different are the spring rates and valving, and you'll definitely want to know if either of those are the case.

I'll keep looking, but what I found on Bilstien's website is one is listed for Komfort?

One is komfort, slightly softer and longer springs, same dampers.
