catted and a sport cat vs not catted will make a world of difference in db...
The challenge is not only fighting drone, but also the deep low bass drone most exhausts have. I put my oem muffler on for shts and gigs and it still produced an insanely bass drone during startup/idle with valve open. Closed it was super quiet. Should be interesting... putting my delete and tuningwerks muffler up for sale. Pm for fire sale pricing.

if you look at how much it sticks out of the OEM from that video, it should line up evenly with the MPERF diffuser.
But, i'll know when it arrives.

It depends if you are decatted or not.
I have fabspeed sports cat and to be honest, I don't even feel the exhaust unless I'm being aggressive on the throttle and even then it's not loud enough to be obnoxious.

Hey everyone..
newflash... this doesn't fit AWD. It probably says that on their website, but of course I didn't find out untill the oem exhaust was sawzalled and everything was off the car. For those wondering how it looks with the Mperformance Diffuser. It looks like this: The tips do not stick out. They sit flush with that little scoop/ lip. I don't think it looks bad, but adjustable tips would have been overall a better design to allow user preference. so we have a SALE because of people who can't read good...me! If you are RWD and would like the opportunity to save big, please DM me. I will not disclose pricing on the forum. I need this gone before i decide to hack it up and make it work on the awd. The muffler itself is a work of art. The piping is very well made, everything is top notch, very upset it doesn't fit AWD. The first hanger close to cat is about 2 inches off and the piping is off by about an inch which make them look like V. If you are in the NY area, come pick it up soon. It will fit right on the RWD 235, and probably a m2 for that matter. Fits stock and mperformance diffuser for m235 RWD ONLY!

I bought his old exhaust and now I feel bad. Don't leave a forum member exhaust-less!

I tried to order flanges to mate to the muffler but it just wasn't happening so the sawzall came out. Perfect cut, the muffler slipped right inside the OEM piping like a glove. It made a really good seal by itself, but I applies some wrap and band clamped it together. Check tips 50x times than tighten down all the bolts... Since I have the stock mid pipe and this is basically an axle back bolt on for me I can only compare against the tuningwerks/OEM/fabspeed delete/ Ark's designed muffler. Its also been 2 hours, so it will probably deepen with age. It's damm quiet. Like the pops and bangs are quieter than OEM with the flap open. The tuningwerks had that growl but no drone and allowed pops and bangs to come through mostly... The delete, just nasty angry, piss off your neighbors, get thrown off track loud. What i really like is I feel I lost no performance at all. Honestly, its all free flowing: Turbo @ > catless DP > oem res > small muffler > resonator > tips = ~~ So i have this really quiet car ( again 2 hours off a delete so tommorow it may seem much louder) that has the same performance as when the muffler delete was on it (butt dyno). It sounds like Knightrider... like all loud turbo zoooms and pfffsss. its pretty cool, i'm probably exaggerating... On decible level, its no where near 90db, my delete was a 92db... this maybe 80-82? Ill check when i can. Its all Turbo noises with a loud growl as I wind out gears and muffled bass downshifts which used to be the sound of m80s cracking. Its a nice kit. At the price offered ($1500 or less) you have the AWE kit, the Milltek kit, and maybe the Dinan muffler with the mid pipe they sell. I can't compare on noise but I can say the quality is very good. The return policy was a little disappointing with a 25% restock fee and buyer pays shipping back. Rather than eat hundreds of dollars I decided to go old school and make it work with AWD. Ill get around to welding it up once Harbor freight has a sale. Would I go with this kit? If you are AWD. No. If your RWD, yes. Its quality. Great price. I like the muffler setup, it is straight through and looks much more expensive than it is thank to the welding. It will also have others asking, "why the hell didn't they just use a U-bend?" And that is a great question? Regardless, It looks really nice. It doesn't seem as heavy as the Tuningwerks muffler or oem was, and I don't loose any power with it. I can now go wide open without worry of being too loud which is nice. Mid pipes are for sale.
