m235i acceleration over 60+ mph weird characteristics

When I go to accelerate onto the on ramp the car seems to dart from left to right and feels highly unstable. Have owned many bmws and never felt this before. It seems like it has been like this since Ive owned my m235i. At first i thought it was just normal because the tires are only 255 wide on 18's on square setup but now that I have the mhd stage 2 tune it seems like it has got worse.
Is the suspension on these cars far inferior to the e46 m3s and e36 m3s?? is it the lack of a lsd? Also my father has driven the car and complains that the steering rack is way to quick almost like it takes way too much input to keep strait line driving.

that's the elsd you're feeling. It can only be disabled with dsc fully turned off.

It is a rather short wheelbase car with decent power.

Mechanical LSD option on 6- spd manual

It's the ediff transferring power between the rear wheels. You need a LSD to properly plant the power in Stage 2. You just have too much power for the rear tires.

the e-dif only turns on if DSC OFF is engaged. Not sure where you got your info from.

I've got the same setup and experience similar things. I think it's a factor of a few things:

1) A big surge of turbo torque. The E36/46 have nothing on the N55 in terms of torque.

2) Short wheelbase and alignment settings

3) Relatively rear suspension/suframe/diff carrier bushings. However, I do know M2 owners report similar things and they have much stiffer rear bushings.

4) Overly aggressive stability/traction control nannies

MINE does the exact same thing OP. I thought it was my 255 tires in the rear too...

Hmmm strange, before i put my winters on it wasn't like this! So I always put it off as a tire thing.

I agree with what your dad says. I keep thinking I need an alignment

I believe it was raining a little yes. But it does it too when its dry when I really floor it above 60 mph on the highway switching lanes.

Mine does this too, this is the first post that seems to hit the nail on the head explaining what I have felt.

My guess is the nannies are not really sure where to put the power for the best traction so it hints back and forth a little bit. And the softer rear end only makes it more noticable.

I am planning on doing, coilovers, subframe bushings, and mechanical lsd eventually. I'm pretty sure that should take care of it.

Just picked up a 2016 M235i on MPPS, stock wheels and tire sizes. Hit full throttle on highway on some uneven pavement and same side to side darting all over the place. Never felt this before in other cars I've owned. I have to wonder if the uneven pavement messed with the brake-based e-LSD and its braking each wheels separately causing this.
