Dynojet doesn't pick up RPM from diagnostics
I just got my M235i dyno'd on a dynojet and their dyno wouldn't pick up RPM's from the 'diagnostics port' as they called it (I'm guessing ODB port). They had to use their pickup sensor on a wire coming off of a coil pack or something.
I vaguely remember having this same issue with my M2 at a different shop with a dynojet a couple years ago. Is this a BMW specific thing? And since it'll be asked, it made 304 hp to the rear wheels. (2014, A8, RWD, 93 octane, bone stock, 45 degrees out) |

Pretty normal to pick up rpm from a coil pack. Every car I've dynoed was done that way.
304whp for a stock m235 rwd is spot on. Was torque in the 320-330 range? |

310, but the guy forgot to put shifter to S and so it kept downshifting so he rolled into it. I'm confident that it would be closer to 330 had he stomped it right off the bat since these cars get peak torque pretty low
