Question about boost

Started my revisions with cary Jordan today. How much boost can the stock turbo and stock fuel system hold without failure with my mods (stated below)? Looking to run as much boost as I can. 2016 m235 xdrive

Saw a video where a guy with an F87 M2 got a CJ tune, and it went to 20 lbs of boost and then CJ told him fueling/turbo upgrades were needed for any more.
The guy then went back to Stage 2 93 anyway, saying he would wait for the upgrades.

They are usally tuned by load first and not a target boost. Boost varies on tables depending on many factors. Every tuner will have a different response too. That's really what a dyno tune session is for to find that happy medium of boost fuel and spark. (and other factors too).

Anyway, ~16-18 PSI maybe? It will taper on the taper on the end though to ~13-14 PSI.

The stock fuel system in our cars is terrible. A custom tune will be a lot better then an ots but your going to run out of fuel real quick. It's not so much as the turbo not producing enough boost it's our HPFPs can't pump much more. Also the turbos on our cars aren't meant to boost much past 23 24lbs before you're risking its life. Make 390whp and some mid 4s for ftlbs and wait on an upgrade.

It sucks but that's how bmw make our engines 🤷*♂️ they weren't meant to push S55 type power (although the n55 is extremely capable) that's just it

It depends on your ignition timing, when the ignition is low you can make a lot of boost safely. When it's high you need to be conservative with target boost.

Since you are working with Jordan, I suggest you ask him these kinds of questions
