Coding ASD OFF.

Looking at the cheat sheet, I'm a little confused.
To turn off ASD (HK Audio if that makes a difference) is the value to be changed to "F006?"

Is there any advantage to using the Technic bypass harness or is coding it off the way to go?

Thanks!

I just coded mine off using the value F006, and it worked perfectly. Does pretty much the same thing as the bypass harness but a lot easier and less time consuming to do. I was very surprised by how much actual sound was coming through the speakers. I have a DP and an AWE exhaust and can barely hear anything inside the car when cruising in comfort...Kind of miss the sound to be honest.

I also used F006 to code off ASD. I tried pulling the wiring harness (left side of the trunk), but either harness also killed the radio. I can confirm that F006 is comletely off.

The ASD os nowhere near as bad in the 240 as it was in the 235 (you can hear an increase in noise switching the 235 to sport, not so in the 240). I was also surprised by how quiet the car is with ASD disabled. Personally, I like it. You can still hear it at high rpm, but at low rpm you hear mostly tire & wind noise.

You mean you are coding F006 for the model code? Doesn't it throw like an incompatible config warning or something like that after you do it ?

Thanks harma24 & zipphreak for confirming F006.
I am finding the fake engine noise a little annoying, especially while just cruising in Sport or Sport +.
Just kinda drones unless you are on the gas and the noise must be somewhat competing with the radio/music.
Cheers.
