Budget Alcantara Leather Steering Wheel Cover

Hey guys thought you might be interested in this little mod I did. I got a steering wheel cover from China it was only about $50. It took about 4-6 hours to put it on and stitch it up. I took my time and watched a lot of video and took it slow and steady. Also missed a stitch and had to go back about 5 stitches haha.

Today's the first day with it on and I love it! It makes it a little bit thicker and the "alcantara" material on the sides feels great. The blue line also compliments my blue start stop button and blue stitching very well. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask! This is a great kid very affordable if you have some extra time on your hands.

Yessir! It's the MeWant one lol what a name. Oh big tip here make sure you request them to send you the light blue thread as well. At first they just sent the cover with red and blue thread. It looks better with the 3 colors to match the M sport I think.

Looks great. For those without the patience or the DIY skills Coby Wheel will do an alcantara wrap for you for like $200.

That's very impressive! Can you be specific with the part number or the link you purchased? I've looked at MeWant on Aliexpress and none seem specific to the M235 but I'm assuming the M2 one fits?

I foresee the adhesive used to fit the cover snugly on the wheel will be a pain to remove should you decide to return to stock and take the cover off, especially due to heat and constant gripping from hands. What's the best way to remove adhesive from leather since Im pretty keen to order and install this, but not at the expense of causing damage to the steering wheel.

It is stitched on. No adhesive required.

You do not have to use adhesive no. It comes with thin doubled sided tape though which I used. However its not the stickiest to be honest and I love the cover I don't want to take it off. So if and when that needs to happen I don't think it will be too much of a hassle peeling it off.

This looks fantastic! How is the alcantara holding up after all this time?
