NBT vs. ENTRYNAV1 carplay retrofit
Hi:
I just picked up my 2016 M235i Convertible, and I want to add one of the CarPlay retrofit kits (but not pay BimmerTech prices!) My car has no nav at all. 6.5" screen, 2-way iDrive controller. As best as I can tell, I have the ENTRYNAV1 HU. The CarPlay retrofit kits tend to offer 3 options - NBT, CIC, and maybe NBT Evo. The think I cant figure out is whether they are compatible with my system. Is entrynav considered a kind of NBT, or a whole different animal? |

You'll have to check with the manufacturer of the MMI kit since some work with Entrynav while some are strictly NBT only.
I know the Bimmertech one can work with both.
