I always get Get Nav.

But this is the whole reason why things like this are options.

Get what you think is bet not us, but you should definitely get nav.

Agree, there are SO many computers in modern cars, just to name 6..

1 - Main (handles engine and transmission, immobilizer, talks to ABS and body, throttle control)

2 - ABS/Trac

3 - Body computer

4 - Climate control

5 - Seat memory

6 - SRS (airbags).

In the not so distant future cars will be more like cell phones on wheels, with over the air updates and feature additions (think Tesla updates).

I know most enthusiasts will scoff at this idea, but its true.

Not at all trying to be impolite, but pronunciation may also be a factor. Not sure how it handles dialects, but I have some background in VO work, and I do use my "news anchor" voice when speaking to it.

Are you implying the pig latin may be an issue?

I specifically ordered my M235 without nav and my dealer thought I was crazy, LOL. I rarely use navigation but if I did, i would have gotten it. Like someone noted, I much prefer the standard old school analog instrument cluster with the fuel and real time mpg gauges.

For navigation, I simply push the "speak" button on the steering wheel and my phone will do what i tell it such as open Google Maps and navigate, search the internet, open apps, etc. And yes, the stereo DOES mute as drive-to directions are reported over the speakers.

Lastly, if you want the bigger screen, you can pick up used ones for $200-300 and code it in. And yes, it will do split screen views too.
