Aux + mp3 = bad music

the best for sound quality is the snap in, if not use the white apple cable or at least the Y cable with the lightning adaptor.

I've never had issues with any other cars I've been in. im not talking about sound "quality". if i could, i would load up flac. the problem is getting static and flat sounds as if only one channels coming out.

I actually found that the aux port seems "loose". I can wiggle the cable in the aux port a little bit and get sound to come from left, right, or both speakers, including some static at times. I'm considering bringing the car in to have them look at it, since that seems super shoddy.

i fixed it actually. this was exactly the problem. My aux cable was a lil lose and wasn't plugged in all the way.. you have to make sure u push down hard until it clicks in.

before, the radio sounded better than aux so it didn't make sense. But now aux sounds the way it should.

stupid mistake~ haha

It's funny that actually plugging the cable in helps sound quality JK glad it was a cheap and simple fix.

Well color me embarrassed.

Same for me. I just didn't have it pushed all the way in. In my defense, though, it really felt like I'd pushed it in as far as it would go. Haha.

Same problem here using the iPod y-cable. I have to check it every now and then. The Beatles, with their hard-panned left vs right mix, are always a good check to see if one of the channels is out.
