OEM Rear Shift Bushing

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
USD 15.00

Item Interest
OEM rear shift bushing for manual trans, taken off a 2017 M240i. Only about 50,000 miles on it, but I replaced it with a Turner Motorsport polyurethane bushing for crisper shift feel. It still has plenty of life left in it, so it's great for someone whose manual has 100k+ miles and is looking to get back some of that factory shift feel.

It originally came off a B58 car, but should fit anything that Turner lists, including F3x and F8x. Unsure of fitment on E or G chassis cars.

I can ship it, but great preference towards cash buyers who can pick it up in the San Diego area, especially Carmel Valley. Shipping not included.

How are you liking the stiffer turner bushing? I'm at about 85k miles and feel like it might help.

For $100, it's a great investment. It took me a while to install; I wanted to find a way to get the heat shielding off, but eventually just tore off the band aid and bent it out of the way to get my hands in there.

Shift feel isn't SSK-like, but it's quite nice. A bit clicky-er, a bit stiffer. Still some play in-gear, but you get what you pay for.

Ok I see, were you able to get the heat shield back on? I'm really looking to get rid of some of the shifter movement when accelerating hard I'm not sure if this bushing will help or maybe new engine mounts would help more. Thanks for the info!

Yea, the heat shielding bent back into place. I'd also look into transmission mounts to eliminate shifter movement under acceleration.
